The debut record from southwestern multidisciplinary musician Otto Cox. The alias 'Stupid Pitch' is his first foray into electronica, offering up a concoction of leftfield bass sounds, progressive garage percussion and experimental organic sound design.

Produced alongside the study of a contemporary jazz degree in Bath, UK, the material is underpinned by a comforting command of music theory and textural arrangement. The tracklist is carefully curated to showcase the breadth and variety of countless digital explorations undertaken by the artist during this time. Angular compositions and structural robustness align in this opening statement release.

Music

I am a musician with a deep technical and conceptual understanding of Bass and its role in music. I play electric and synth bass.

I'm also a proficient guitarist and keyboard player.

I have spent many years honing an all-encompassing aural skillset. I strive for vibrant instrumentation, thoughtful arrangement and playful production when I create music.

I have a wealth of live experience, playing gigs in Oxford and Bath. I am confident performing and command a strong stage presence.

Design

As a visual artist, I have an appetite for thoughtful design, and a concern for efficacy.

I take pleasure in composition and typography, and in applying a scalar, detailed approach to both.
